Changes to services

After consultation, feedback and discussion, Parish Council has endorsed the proposal to change the 6pm service to 5pm. This will commence on Sunday 19th July.

Pastoral Care Course - Thursdays 10am - 1pm

16 July, 30 July, 13 August, 27 August, 10 September, 8 October, 22 October, 5 November

 

Time to start planning for the second half of the year, and here at Mittagong, we can offer a Mary Andrews College subject that is useful for everyone in a church: Pastoral Care! This subject will help you in relating to others, caring for each other and promoting growth in maturity.

Including: Biblical foundations for pastoral care, the demands made by crisis situations, e.g. illness, alcoholism and drug dependence, youth homelessness and delinquency, marriage problems, terminal illness, death, bereavement, pastoral care with small groups and families, developing skills in pastoral care. 

$275 for student, whether auditing or for credit towards a Certificate in Theology.

'Strengthening and Nurturing your Marriage'

Saturday 23rd May, 1.15pm to 5.30pm in the MAC Centre is your opportunity to participate in a great seminar.

This is a half day seminar for married couples who would like to attend a marriage enrichment workshop. 

The course will be facilitated by Dr Keith Condie and Sarah Condie. Keith and Sarah have been married for over thirty years. THey live in Newton and have three adult children. Keith is on the faculty of Moore College and is Dean of Students. Sarah has just been appointed part time women's pastor at Church by the Bridge.

Keith and Sarah have developed a course for couples to help strengthen and nurture their marriages and have a passion to see marriages remain strong and connected. 

Cost: $20 per couple

RSVP by 18th May to Jan Livingstone (via church office).
